setting the timing

If it's old enough to have a distributor, the timing marks are on the crank balancer and timing belt cover. If not distributor, the timing is set by the ECU automatically. You'd have to crack the ECU's code in order to change that. Good luck!
this is a BOGUS QUESTIONER ----don't waste your time answering!
Ah, ya' never know, chassy. It could be someone who's not well versed in computers or cars too? Or who's first language is not English?
@Richard -look at the fact that they put timing (correct); not timeing. That eliminates the language issue.....What d.i.y. would ask "setting the timing" without explaining what they were having an issue with ?.....just my opinion
Here is a link on how to set your Miata's timing, the info is about half way down the page: http://www.miata.net/garage/ignition.html
