what happening when the car wants to turn over but wont start

I found out what part of the problem was that the previous person to whom work on it last reconnect fulelines backwards so at this point its wanting to start as  but wont stay  started if you let go it will die please help

could have air in gasline,bleader valve on fuel rail ,push valve down until nothing but gas comes out

no that was not it but if you spray starting fluid in it the car will start but after that it dies the man next door said the injector are not opening al the way

no, now im going to say fuel pump,injectors wont cause this problem.try this,remove gas cap get a friend to turn key switch on off on off 3 or 4 times DO NOT TRY TO CRANK just turn on off while the other person is doing that you listen in gas tank by the filler neck and listen for a buzz sound,if you here nothing bad fuel pump.keep me up dated.
