Mazda 3X6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Took my car in for oil change, brakes and tire rotation to a local repair shop.
They kept the car overnight and called today saying that on the first
replacement you have to replace the calipers. I have not decided that this is
the right thing to do so I picked the car up and I now have 3 lights on the
instrument panel on including the emergency brake light. I asked if the car
was repaired in the service mode and was told yes. What is your opinion
please?

The guy is trying to pull one on you. This is the kinda shit I HATE to see. And course this is IMO... They have expensive OBD comp they might of done something shady... I've heard of things like this.. I live in Vancouver Canada, everyone is trying to scam everyone. What I would say bro go on Amazon or a auto store and get yourself a cheap ODB comp I have a few but the first one I got was just a cheap one ($40-$60) and YOU can find EXACTLY whats wrong with it and even turn those darn dash lights off! I no what its like when these so called shop do this stuff. TILL I went out and bought my self a OBD (you plug it in under your dash) Believe any car above 1996 has one too by law.. I hope I helped some what. And just a FYI the next time you take your car in to a shop to see whats wrong an inspection they will charge you MINiMUM $60 so just go buy your self a ODB and see really whats wrong with your car SIMPLE!

Dealer should be able to clear those warning lights by resetting your computer. Take it back to them
