Megasquirt is amazing! At least cost to benefit wise. That being said if you have no idea what you're doing I wouldn't even attempt it. Making a harness correctly can be incredibly time consumeing and a complete engine rewire is not the place to learn. Trust me my first experience with making a harness (the right way) was wiring a Motec M4 to a custom FI on a YZF-R6... I fucked shit up multiple times out of stupidity, and am thankful I had someone far more knowledgeable than me telling what to do, and more importantly checking my work... IMO if you have no experience with it, find someone who does to help you, otherwise you'll likely regret attempting the project.
