1986 nissan 300 zx radio and air do not work at all???

If radio and fan motor are original then they are 28 years old and could possibly be toast. But also these cars are known for electrical connection issues. Corrosion builds up in the connections causing all sorts of weird things to happen. First I would try taking the connections to the radio and fan loose. Inspect for corrosion, add some electrical grease then reconnect. Try radio and fan while you twist and wiggle these connections. You just might get lucky.
Follow up. I have found control unit unplugged. bad vacuum line to heater ballcock valve and the head sensor unplugged. The ac still blow warm. The compressor is coming on the rpms kick up when it does. The air flow changes the way it should. Any suggestions?

Behind passenger headlight is a black can (plastic) it will have a switch on the lower part of can that line goes to the heater control valve (hot coolant in) the left nipple on can goes through the fire wall to a t under pass side of dash to dash pots to open and close hvac doors right side nipple goes to main intake vacuum pass rear of plenum. Color designation if you still have colored hoses, white stripe to plenum, rh nipple on canister, red stripe through fire wall to dash pots, blue connected to switch goes to heater control valve. NOTICE: if your car is turbo equipped there is a hose that comes off the back and passes through the core support to a vacuum pump pass side behind bumper. Needs to work for system to work correctly or will go to def under boost.
