How do I get a 2011 maxima in neutral if I can't start the engine.

Asked by Arlmaxima2382 Jun 01, 2014 at 09:04 PM about the Nissan Maxima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My maxima is in the garage and the battery died. I need to jump start it but I can't get it
out of the garage. I can't get it in neutral unless it is started. Does anyone know how to
get it in neutral without starting the car?

Have you tried just turning key to run position and moving shifter? If that don't work might just have to remove battery, charge it and then put it back in.
