What happened to my paint?

Asked by Guru9TMH8V Apr 01, 2021 at 12:07 AM about the Honda Civic Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just got a brand new car. Someone took almost all the paint off of my hood. I
was wondering if anyone had an idea of what would cause a mark like this. Do
you think it was intentional. How do you fix a mark like this?

By the look of it I doubt it's intentional. Looks like someone in a taller vehicle just backed up over you and probably didn't see you in the blind spot. Could've been a lifted vehicle or something. If it's not super deep it might just be their paint on yours and could buff out. Can't really tell how deep the damage is from the image. But FOR is right, basically just have to paint it if it's deep.
