What things need to be done to make a OBD2 chevy engine work with a OBD1 chevy truck?

I suppose it would depend on which engine you want to adapt. Early OBD2 engine can probably be switched over without a lot of problems. Swapping out the intake and distributor might do it. Later engines would require a complete wiring, ECU and smog system swap.

I can't tell what year it is but I found it on JEGS. the truck is 1995 gmc sierra k1500 4x4. the original motor was a EFI 5.0 V8 but when that blew I put a 350 in it and just used the same efi that came with the truck. The oil pressure is low, and I've got a knock now. I was gonna swap another 350 with more hp but all the ones I have found are OBD2, and the ones that I did find that are for OBD1 lack the hp I'm looking for.

Used engines are a crap shoot. Early OBD2 engines were simply OBD1 engines with some changes. Stick to engines that have distributors and EFI that you can swap out or buy a crate engine.
