well, what are the ways that the cylinder can be exposed to GAS...one way, through the fuel injector...unless yours is equipped with a Jetronic system (entirely possible) would check the ECU trouble codes, perhaps will tell us why it's dumpin' gas.~
1996 nissan pickup hard body datson not sure about jetronic-D dont know what that is
truck idles good and runs good until crankcase fills with fuel and even after crankcase is filled will idle good but if u give it gas it acts like u jumped into to high of a gear
jurks and cuts out when pushing gas but when u let off idles fine

If you can bring this to a reputable auto parts store, they can hook a diagnostic tool to your connector and tell us what is going on here~

could be something like low-fuel pressure, or stuck fuel-pressure regulator...you diagnostic scan would tell us~

sounds like a throttle position sensor is worn...that's a separate issue from the dumping of gas....your diagnostics...FOR FREE--they will send manny, moe or jack to connect to the diagnostic plug (small rectangular multi-pin connector, might even say "diagnostic" on it's cover)~

sir if you haven't figured out your problem yet I would bet (because I had the exact problem ) it would be a fuel pump diaphragm that is leaking into your crankcase hope this will help if the problem is not been fixed
Donnie, Did you have to change the seals on the top and bottom part of engine? I have the exact same problem. New fuel pump
