My 2005 titan 4x4 is having transfer case problems. It has passed 308,000 miles. Is it worth repairing?

new tires, brakes, and wipers. fresh paint. uses no oil.

Do you LOVE this vehicle?...due to the number of miles I'd say YES, you do...stick with it, then~....unless you fancy the new ones...then bite the carrot and go for it~

is there nothing we can simply insert a few shims or change out some bearings to fix?

I would fix it just because it cost less to repair than buy a new one. Check the junk yards and see if you can find a new one to put in it. Much cheaper than a parts house.
