If your Toyota is a newer model, you may not have the traditional power steering but rather electric steering with no pump or reservoir. IF your car has power steering, the pump and it's reservoir would be mounted to run off the serpentine drive belt on the engine. Take a look.
It's a 2006 Toyota Corolla

Your 2006 Toyota Corolla has the traditional power steering pump with rack and pinion steering. The P/S pump would run off the serpentine ("fan") belt. If the reservoir is not attached to the pump, it may be mounted elsewhere under the hood to save space. So if you locate a reservoir on the inner fender well, be sure you have the right one before adding P/S fluid. The other reservoirs could be window wash, coolant, etcetera. Have your mechanic locate it for you. It's good that you want to learn these things.
