Why don't wipers park on 1997 lesabre

The wiper arm under the plastic cover is bent slightly. Just take that plastic cover off and take out the wiper control unit. the arm that goes from side to side is mostly bent slightly and limits the wipers mobility. it will also speed the wipers up incredibly.
