how to replace the supercharger belt tensioner apparatus on 2003 park ave ultra?

Asked by rccup7 Jun 17, 2024 at 02:48 AM about the Buick Park Avenue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Assembly belt continues to come off the supercharger for my 03 park av ultra.
Replaced idler pulley and still inches over even though I put the belt in the
groves correctly.  Apparently the tensioner is not aligned or worn out?  How to
remove the tensioner as the coil packs and ICM seem to sit atop the tensioner
assembly?

As Ed stated you need a good shop manual. There might be some help on you tube on tensioner replacement.

Three bolts hold the supercharger belt tensioner on. Most likely other things need to be removed to get to the tensioner assembly. Check out rockauto.com and you can see a picture of it. Jim
