My gauges keep going back to zero after my car is turned off overnight

This is normal. The gauges will not become "active" until the ignition key is in the on position to supply the 12 Vdc to the cluster and sending units.

your gauges go back to 0. It did it on my buick park ave when my cables and terminals needed cleaning
