possible intake manifold problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

woke up one morning to a car that wouldn't even attempt to start.  replaced starter, plugs, and battery.  will try starting now, but if she does kick over she's going thru a container of coolant about every 10 miles.  literally.  not into oil, no milkshake effect there, i'm thinking its blowing out the exhaust or possibly causing the continuous fouling of the brand new plugs that is causing her not to start.  this is driving me nuts.   no puddles, no leaks, no coolant anywhere in the car or under it.  just bone dry every 10 miles with my temp gauge going to the red.  never had a problem with this car before.  any help greatly appreciated.

Forgot to ask, does this car have the plastic intake? If so one backfire through the intake will crack it. Dorman products sells a newer improved unit through Advance Auto or any parts house that sells Dorman.
