If car runs alright after you get it started,it may be bad coil, clogged fuel filter,or weak fuel pump.
I can only guess that after the vehicle starts it performs ok. I agree with the previous poster..first check to ensure there is no clogged fuel filters and do check to determine the performance of the fuel pump. That year vehicle should have a distributor and inside there you will located the coil. SEMPER FI Marine and GOOD LUCK.
Say Marine... Js08016 suggestion(s) is right on. I do guess the vehicle has a carb. and after sitting for a while gas would leak causing the bowl float to leak down.
It actually runs good once I get it started. I just thought there was a problem with it doing this. I appreciate the input though fellows all responses were helpful. Thanks again! Christopher, Semper FI
