Is sales tax paid in county of residence or county of sale for Georgia ?

You pay the sales tax in the state the vehicle is going to be registered.

That's correct. When I bought my '94 Fleetwood in North Carolina I didn't pay sales tax at the time of my purchase. I paid the sales tax at my local DMV in my home State when I transferred the title and registered the vehicle. Hope that helps! Jim
