Camry with po 442 & 446

2003 Camry w/284,000 miles runs decent with cel 442& 446, two shops after
smoke test say change charcoal canister at roughly 1000.00 repair, Worth
doing or junk car?

P0422 is a catalyst or O2 sensor problem. P0446 is an EVAP code but says nothing about the canister needing replaced, referred to the purge valve, gas cap or line leakage. If you don’t have to have the vehicle inspection before you can license it, just drive it until it quits running. But if it needs inspection then it’s not worth fixing.
I agree. This vehicle is at the end of its life and isn't worth putting $1,000 into. Drive it as long as you can, until it quits or is due for inspection, then trade it in or junk it. Jim
