my toyota corolla 1988 car has a clocking sound coming from the engine
1988 toyota corolla sedan car has a clocking noise coming from the engine and also a noise coming from the front left wheel
Try switching to premium fuel and see if the engine noise stops. It might be engine knocking, or preignition. Also, check your oil level to make sure it's not running rough from low oil. The noise near the front left wheel could be a bad wheel bearing, cv joint, tire rod end, ball joint, or motor mount. When does it make the noise? Also, is it two separate noises? Does it make noise while idling, braking, slow turning, or fast cornering? You might want to take it to an honest mechanic if you can find one. It's tough to diagnose the problem without hearing it or seeing it in person.
