Maintenence required light on, just had an oil change? Toyota 2006 corolla S

I notice that when my car need an oil change...my maintenence required light goes on. well i had one done two months ago and wasn't due but the light came on. well i took it back in for the oil change and the light still didn't go off...now the car is running sluggish..no get up and go all of a sudden. what could this mean? could i be low in some other fluid? i asked them to check when i got the oil changed but i don't think they actually did it.

Check your oil dip stick to make sure there's enough oil, also try resetting the computer by disconnecting the NEGATIVE side to the car battery for 10 mins. You should always reset your maintenance light after you change the oil and here is how... Turn ignition key to 'ON' and press the odometer button until the display reads ODO... not Trip A or B. Hold in the same button you used in step 1. While holding the button in, turn ignition key to 'ON'. The Maintenance Required light should blink and go out.

It did not work at all I have tried several times have a 2006 Toyota Corolla bought Sept 2005,
