Go Up the Line-Up or Go Straight for the V8?

So I am looking into buying a 2010-2012 Ford Mustang, but I'm not quite sure if I want to go up the Mustang line-up by starting with a V6, then later get a V8, or if I should go straight for the V8. I have found quite a few that have low miles (which is what I want) and have a fairly good price tag on them. I'm just not sure since in my eyes a Mustang is a Mustang and I'll love them no matter what.

I must admit, the V8 is quite a machine. I'm really just looking for a car that will still turn heads as I will be having a custom paint job done to it once I find the one for me. The 2012 Mustangs have my eye as of now, so I'll look more into that year for the V8's. The only person I know who has a Mustang is my friend sadly and she owns a 2002 - not quite sure what model though. Haven't seen it in awhile.
