v6 to v8 engine swap

Asked by Jack Dec 30, 2018 at 01:27 PM about the Ford Mustang

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2013 mustang v6, 6 speed manual. I bought the v6 to have a cheaper insurance, and i cant afford the insurance to trade it in, and pay the new higher insurance for the bigger engine, so what will i need to do in order to swap the v6 to a 5.0 v8 with the insurance people thinking its still a v6??

If you wreck it and are at fault, your insurance can deny you coverage, leaving you on the hook for everything. Go on any performance forum and read the insurance horror stories from people who did V6 to V8 swaps or turbo conversions to non turbo cars without informing their insurance carriers and were in a wreck.
