If you talking about the rocker moulding, look under the vehicle in the area for the fasteners, you also have to remove the wheel well liner to access a few. If your panel is hanging, I suspect the panel is damaged enough that you will not be able to reattach it, as it ripped off. A replacement will be in order. Find a used one at a salvage yard or online.

I HAVE THE ROCKER PANEL OFF , WHAT IS THE KEY TO PUTTING IT BACK ON I HAVE THE CLIPS THERE ARE I THINK 14 ATTACHMENT POINTS ON THE ROCKER PANEL BUT ATTACHMENT POINTS DON'T ALL GO IN SAME DIRECTION HALF GO THIS WAY .> AND THE OTHER HALF GOES THIS WAY <. JUST LOOKING FOR THE TRICK TO GET IT BACK ON . NOTHING ON U TUBE WITH THE HHR OTHER VEHICLES BUT NOT THE HHR
