Question type: Maintenance & Repair

have to crank engine 8-15 times before it starts then runs fine till you shut it off and you have to do it all over again. can it be the engine control computer? or the throttle position sensor? does any one really know?

Even though the fuel pump and regulator are new, have you performed a fuel pressure test?

Nobody will know for sure unless you do tests and post results. Most common thing that can cause this is a fuel issue. It could be low pressure or its bleeding off somewhere like the pumps bleed off valve or and injector is stuck open
