A 2004 Crown Victoria

Asked by Guru9D3W4F Nov 26, 2020 at 06:40 PM about the Ford Crown Victoria

Question type: General

Bought my 2004 Crown Vic in 2020 with 55,000 miles on it.
Now 60,000 miles. Now I notice a slight pause or slip as it
goes into gear. Shifting D to R, like when parking the car.
Could the  rear end be going out?
Or, could the tranny be wearing out already?

I would have the transmission diagnosed. Maybe you just need a fluid and filter change?

It doesn't sound like rear end issue, it's the transmission, at 60k miles, it's due for transmission service anyway, might as well get it done and see if it takes care of the issue.
