I have a 1984 box truck with a 5.8 liter
when getting up to  hwy. Speed  it dies
sounds as to much air fuel  or nor
anuff fuel jt back firea as well

Check the fuel filter, vacuum leaks, or the converter is getting plugged, see if it will free rev if it does the cat is OK But the filter is still suspect and ignition coils will act the same way.
