how to repair front brakes locking up

The calipers have nothing to retract them they only relax , When I do brake pads I shoot some penetrating fluid under the rubber boot before compressing the caliper piston . . No garage will do this they simply replace the calipers and charge you . An internally collapsed brake hose can also cause this ,

Maybe the ABS is activating prematurely? A common issue on the Escapes is the tone rings, located on the CV axles for the ABS sensors rusts and cracks.
