I have a set of tires at 235/75R/15 on a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Will these tires fit on my 2005 Ford Escape if I can get the correct rim for it.
They currently have 235/70R/16 All Seasons now. Is it at all possible to put these tires on or are they 1" (1 inch) too small to even consider? Are there such rims out there?

This is death waiting to happen! These tires are 17 years old and for sure dry rotted. they could blow at 40-50 mph on the hwy. PLEASE, DO NOT USE THEM! I know what you are thinking... they have good tread on them and you don't want to throw them away... but do.
