I just got a used 2005 ford escort that has been sitting a short while I started and drove it only about 5 miles to get gas and when I started it to leave it wouldn't start and the radio and heater want work but it did start up again so I could bring it home I don't know if the radio was working before because I didn't try it til after it started the second time however the blower on the heat did start blowing but only cold air want should I try to look for these problems

Check the battery to see if it has a proper charge. It should be 12.5V or higher. Also check the coolant level , it might be too low for you to get heat.
