coil #6 replaced 98 ford expedition still lags when driving

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No check engine light, when driving peridocly shakes or feels like its
starving for something. Check engine light was on b4 mechanic
scaned got code for something#6coil pack nothing else. Car still
shakes , any ideas?

change coil packs around to see the miss follows then change coil also look for dry rotted boots. that was my problem 6 buck each they sell them separate and it runs great for a yr now. hope it helps...

On my '97 I had same problem. I had to replace 2 coils, 2 plugs (all replaced in the end) new Exhaust manifold (broken bolts on one side) and cat converters replaced (one side, one straight and one 45 degree). Runs smooth again but I have a feeling next year the other side will go. Clogged cat converters maybe giving you rough acceleration and shaking. I love that machine so I thought it was worth the investment. All the best.
