i have a for expedition king ranch and am trying to pull a 29ft travel trailer.

Question type: General

I am not an experienced tow person but I find the car seems to lose control  reaching 60 mph. Is the trailer too heavy?  Ford told up we could tow 9000 pounds.  The empty trailer is 6500.

A trailer that size and weight should have Load-Levelers, electric brakes and proper tire inflation on both tires and trailer. Have an RV outfit check out your rig. Sounds like a dangerous way to vacation.

Including all of the above, be sure you have about 5-10% tongue weight. If it is to light at the hitch, the trailer will sway. The lighter the hitch weight, the more sway!
