How do i recharge the a/c on the ford expedition 2001 Eddie Bauer 5.4 engine 4x4

That is exactly right. If you need refrigerant then it leaked out somewhere. Fix the leak first. To add refrigerant the port is located on the side of the dryer which is beside the battery against the fire wall.

Not sure if that model came with R134 or R12 but when you recharge it, be sure to update to R134.
