Knowing these engines are prone to intake & head gasket failures, I would for sure test each cylinder for compression and test for exhaust in coolant. Look to see if there is coolant in crankcase oil, mat look milky, underside of oil fill cap (and other plastic parts) may have Chocolate substance sticking to it if there is very little lose of coolant to crank case. May see steam at tail pipe that does not go away after engine warms up. Or you may have noticed a coolant level lose over a period of time not knowing why or where the leak is. I would check out this first as a misfire or rough idle is very common with these gasket issues. Otherwise Spark plugs would be my first thought to check and plug wires or coils, may need dielectric grease on the plug wire boots (both ends) to stop arching. Like already said the Throttle body & IAC may be dirty, remove them and clean with CRC throttle body cleaner and assorted nylon brushes, no metal brushes, cleaner is not enough if very dirty, reinstall with new gaskets. Look for vacuum leaks all over, (also Intake gasket can be a source for vacuum lose).
