What is towing capacity for a 1992 Ford F150 automatic, 302 V-8
I have a 21', approx. 3,300 lb trailer (fifth wheel) i want to pull with a 1992 Ford F-150 automatic V-8, 5.0 liter (302) engine. Does anyone know the towing capacity for this particular truck? I'm having a hard time getting information about this. Thanks.

Jot down the vin and go to your local ford dealership parts department. With the vin they can determine what trim level you have and if other towing packages were built into the truck.

I own a 92 f150 custom with the 302 and E40d automatic new fluids in the tranny and axle, it is a stock axle 8.8 stock transmission, i have towed a Chevy z71 which weighed 6000 plus the trailer give or take, and my ford OEM manual states maximum 9500 lbs curb weight provided you have either the correct rated 5th wheel or hitch bolted or welded to your frame. It also depends on how old your truck is check the mileage on the engine, axle and transmission, dont want to blow anything out. Hope this helps,
