Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my clutch has not been working right. ill start up my truck then push clutch in and try to put it in gear but it bumps then i push it in.
when i change gears, i push clutch in and it doesnt act like it disengage gear because rpm drops as if it is still in gear and i pull
shifter out then rpm drops normal and i got to push it into next gear. if i let it warm up awhile before driving it does better but not
much. i have to drive it a couple miles before it acts right. so i think its either air in it or loose linkage. what yall think? its a '89
f250 4X4 with 351W followed by 4 speed with overdrive trans.

Your truck has a hydraulic clutch linkage so I would make sure the clutch master cylinder is full of fluid. If its not yuo have a leaking line or the master/slave cylinder may have a seal out. If it is empty you will have to bleed the system like you would breaks to purge all the air out.
