my ranger has the factory 6 disc changer in it. are they known for going bad? mine suddenly quit working and looking for a fix to the changer without just getting a different head unit..... will anything else fit from something else???

one out of another ranger,same year modle will work,did you check your radio fuse to see if blown.
checked all the fuses and all that.. everything is good.. found another unit and did the same thing... just shuffles the disks and then says there is no disc... now its saying there is no dj.. i dont know with this thing
take it to your indepentent radio dealer,they can figure it out,not radio shack or others like them.
