what is the best thing to patch a hole in a radator

Permeatex is by far the best. Holds up to a lot of heat. May have a hard time finding it locally. AutoZone may have it. In weld makes a gas tank and radiator patch also.

a new radiator. You may be able to find someone to repair it professionally, but if not you may just have to replace it. you can try bars leak or some other radiator chemical, but the results can vary. usually a replacement is the best option

Agree,with mike,a pacth will kill your motor sooner than later,have it repaired buy a radiator shop or replace it with new one,or you could find your self replacing the engine next.
