If you have a car that has been run hot,What are the first things you check?

lets start by hoping it was full of oil when this happened. Have the engine compression checked. check the spark plugs (they have a temperature rating and there is a probability you may have fouled them) Have you noticed any visible exhaust or any changes in the way the car idles or runs? Also what year taurus is this?

first is it has aluiminum heads,cracked or warped,depending on how hot it got and how far it was driven hot.oil leval,collent leval,if anything is in radaitor.find out why it ran hot,bad water pump,busted rad hose,stuck closed thermostat.if run a long time hot it will burn up the motor.good luck with it.
