if i disconnect the a/c plug will it stop burning belts

your compressor clutch shot its load.

no,the pully is locked up,replace the compressor,the plug is for the clutch to kick on-off.

sure, spend $250 on a compressor, another $40 to fill it and the labor for installation and evacuation. Or you could replace just the pulley, they cost about $40 and consume a half hour labor (minimum rate).

yea,that could work,onley if it in not a internal problem with the compressor,and why buy new when he can get a good used one at a salvage yard.that is as long as it is open and not OUT OF BUSINESS.
