The LCM is still under extended warranty on these cars. There has been lots of problems with them so Ford had to extend the warranty. Take it to a Ford dealer.

A bad LCM (lots of them go bad) won't necessilarly drain the battery. That could be an additional problem. Remove the possitive batt. cable and see if there is a current drain with a multimeter. When you take it in for the LCM, maybe they can find it.

I have a 2001 GM LS that I purch. in 2004. It was fine for a year or so and then elec. problems started. Several new batteries, then all kinds of problems, even as I write: trunk opening on I- state, dash panel gets so hot, doors sometimes will not lock, check engine light on-on computer, goes off for a day, then back on. In reverse, trunk opening (had to disconnect), And on and on! Battery now dead as I tried to leave for errands and a week ago (battery dead) AAA wanted $157. to replace it! WHAT TO DO? I am 76 yr old female & can not afford to trade up.....

Wow, that's a bucket full of problems. That's an awful lot for a battery, go to an auto store. You might have a wiring harness problem somewhere, but what a tough one to find. I'd trade it in, even if I had to go down. Maybe someone else will have an idea. I don't know a lot about GM
