Tough one, I imagine you've checked the fuses? Do the lights work?

Yeah the fuse was blown under the dash was caused by fan resistor. Easy replace, now it works.
I literally fixed this EXACT problem today. Symptoms were Brake Warning Light on in dash at all times, No turn signals, No HVAC power at module, No compass in rear view mirror. All these items receive power from the 2nd key position(accessory). Removed the knee panel under steering column, removed the connector to the ignition switch, found a pin burnt/black soot marked (accessory pin). Replaced ignition switch, applied lots of electrical dielectric grease to plug. All work properly now. Ignition switch is on the steering column behind knee panel, NOT near key cylinder like most cars. Hope this helps all Grand Marquis owners with ghost electrical issues.
Amtracker1833-------ericbryanburke---- Trippmeister........ I have that problem on my 1999 Merc GrandMarq. I replaced fuses that were blown. Worked for about 3 minutes then blew again. Things/signs -- abs , brake light on, no directional, no power on the climate screen, compass out. I bypassed the AC with a different serp belt (over a year ago without problems). Flashers ok, headlights, brakes all ok. ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED.. G.C.

Disconnect each of the things that don't work (except turn signals) See if the fuse blows, Re attach things one at a time and see if it blows.
I'm tryna get my air , turn signal, n radio back working, but I changed all fuses. Where is tha motor located
It's ah 2000 grand Marquis Mercury
Trippmeister answered 6 years ago
Motor for what? State what's happening all over again. What's not working?
Replace your ignition switch. Its shorted, which is gonna blow fuses every time you turn the key on.
My dashboard lights do not come on my gauges do not work but turn signals do not work

Have the same exact issues as Chuck; climate control, rearview compass and turn signals all stopped at same time. Changed fuses, worked 3 days, then dead again. I am picking up a new ignition switch today and installing.
having similar issue. EATC module has power and has ignition power. yet module only powers on when you first hit ACC on ignition switch then module goes out. any help would be appreciated
module has good ground only pin without power is from instrument cluster
Ac stopped working at same Time as power steering new fan but doesn’t even blow ac compressor doesn’t start up either is it electrical

I have similar problem in 2006 Lincoln (no digital dash-analog gauges work), no power to climate control, no turn signals, and following idiot lights on (abs, brake light and traction control). i found reason for the short that caused signal light fuse to blow, but obviously ignition switch same as Grand Marquis? Hoping this will fix things I broke trying to fix things.
Having same issue replaced ignition switch and checked all the fuses and still nothing

I found my problem...it was a fuse blown in the engine compartment area. Although I checked physically all them 2x, and my brother who is a mechanic did also, when i put a light tester to it...the one feeding from there to the foot panel inside was in fact blown. No problems since.
