After after a while when I accelerate from a stop there is a sound from under the vehicle that makes me think the u joint or something is wrong. It' get progressive worse the longer it's driven.

Could also be transmission or motor mounts also. I would inspect all.

Any vibration? If you can hear it the joint is ready to fly apart.
