well assuming the coolant has been filled to the 'full hot' marker, you've probably got a stuck thermostat...that is to say stuck closed- you could unbolt the neck and take it out of there, but replacing it would probably be the best solution...unless your coolant loop is full of rust in which case should get an industrial drain and flush the radiator, block and fluid stream. if corroded, the water pump may just give up and stop pumping cause the vanes are corroded away, seen 'em that way too- proper coolant level non-stuck thermostat, waterpump that works and we'll be alright then~
