Head gasket on subaru loyale

im looking at buying a 1992 subaru loyale wagon. it has a blown head gasket, is it safe enough to drive it a few miles. one way. i live on the other side of town from the seller.

I'd go for the tow. Personally I feel it's a high risk getting into a car with a blown head gasket. You might just be able to change head gaskets and change fluids or it might be a total basket case not worth repairing. Buyer beware.
