is very reliable and safe,it is one of the most reliable car on the road.

Yes, a friend has one with almost 180k on the clock, he has been driving it since we got out of high school 10 years ago.

Yes, especially considering that it has all-wheel-drive. She should be safe and in control in any weather situation.

The only bad thing I can say about Subaru is the cost to insure. Not sure were you live but, around here (Southern Ontario, Canada) they are one of the most to insure. In almost every class. That is why I bought my Malibu instead of a Outback. It was a nice ride. with lots of room and AWD!! Just to much to insure, Hope this helps, Best of luck
