why does my 99 Subaru outback have full power but the engine has no power?

How do you know you have full battery power? What does that mean anyway? If there's not enough power to start the engine, you don't have FULL POWER. Call the auto club if you have them, they have a great battery and diagnostic service that's free for their members. They will come to you check out your entire charging system on the spot, 24/7 and offer to sell you a new battery if you need one. They will also tell you if you have an alternator problem, which might be the case. The battery and alternator work together, alternator charges the battery while you're driving and then there's the voltage regulator to monitor the alternator to ensure that the battery does not get overcharged.
Did you ever find out what's going on? Or, call the AAA. ..?
