what/where are the codes refered to in the answers for the 08 outback check engine & cruise control lights. i'm a first time subaru owner & the car was a company car.

I don't know what "codes", yhats why I'm asking.

Or, the codes will tell you the area of a problem that would need to be fixed. Each code has a number associated with it, scan for a code, it will refer sorta a specific problem going on with an engine. A cruse control light is telling you that it is on. This is why Kelly up there is asking what the codes are. Hope this is what you are after...Otherwise give us a code!
