There is a good chance that it will, just look it over to see if mounting is the same, plugins to sensors are the same, make sure the engines are the same size, the 2.5L or 3.0L. which ever one is in your vehicle.
Is something wrong with the trans in the 99? If not, just swap the engine. Ditto on the sensors on the intake. You can also check each car on opposedforces.org and see if the engine codes you have fit the entire range of what works/swaps.
