2008 Eclipse Spyder top won't go down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had to replace the battery.  Now the top won't go down.  I changed the fuses.  The windows work up and down.  I hear no beep when I release the latches, and I do not hear the motor to start putting the top down at all.  Any suggestions.  Also, it is a 2008 so there is no manual switch in the trunk.

You're not alone. I found a bunch of owners with a top problem -- http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t16318_ds482158

Yes, I read all of those too! I just don't have a switch in the trunk to make this problem go away. I was hoping someone who had this exact problem would tell me how they fixed it or got it fixed.

This worked: turned ignition key to ON position (not all the way to start engine, just to where radio can be turned on). Turned back off. Ignition back to On. Raised the windows. Turned ignition back to off. Turned key all the way to ignition and started engine. Pushed the Close button and the top functioned as expected. Saved a trip to the shop.

Can someone tell me how to lower the back peice where the glass goes on a 2006 spyder convertible top?

One of the most common reasons for low credit scores is usually too much debt, if you have bad credit; it’s hard to climb out of debt. If you have severe debt, it’s hard to establish the good credit you need.Yes I knew this because my credit was in a mess earlier this year until I wrote Rock Base Credit Repair who did the magic and brought my credit back to live. I can now boost of a score above 780.Just write Rokbase at p r o t on m a I l dot c o m or (972)-449-1968 and your sorrows will be gone in days
