2001 Mitsubishi lancer what does GL stands for?

Mitsubishi Lancers didnt have a GL model. Their models consist of DE, ES, now a ES Sport, GTS, RalliArt, and then the big boys...Evolution GSR, and Evolution MR. You may be thinking of either Nissan or Volkswagen.

And also most models dont really mean anything. however DE model I dont know, but I think it goes like ES economy sport, GTS grand touring sedan, GSR grand sport racer

Thanks for the consideration, in asian countries where japanese domestic used cars are sold the lancer basic version conmes as GL
